Embrace East Africa is committed to the protection of student privacy across all 8 EAC member states. We comply with applicable child and student privacy laws in each jurisdiction in which we operate. For users under the age of 18:
No commercial profiling
We never use personal information from users under 18 for commercial profiling, behavioural advertising, or data brokerage.
Parental consent for under-13s
Users under 13 require verifiable parental or guardian consent before their account is activated.
School partnerships
Where Embrace East Africa operates through a school, the school is responsible for collecting parental consent in accordance with applicable law.
Parental access rights
Parents and guardians may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their child's personal data by contacting privacy@embraceeastafrica.org.
When you fill in the session feedback form during or after an Embrace East Africa outreach visit, the information you provide — including your name (if given), school, grade, and responses — is used exclusively to:
Session feedback is never sold, shared with advertisers, or used for any commercial purpose. Aggregate statistics (e.g. "85% of students rated the session as 'Good' or 'Amazing'") may be shared publicly to demonstrate campaign impact.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage of sensitive data, role-based access controls, and regular security audits. If you discover a vulnerability, please report it to security@embraceeastafrica.org.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by a prominent notice on the platform at least 14 days before they take effect.
